Hi, I'm Caliph.
|
I help students understand one core truth: their daily choices shape their future.
That message connects directly to the challenges schools are facing today--mental health, bullying, substance use, discipline, self-worth, academic success, and long-term career vision. I don’t treat these as separate issues. I help students connect the dots between what they do every day and the life they ultimately create. It is my belief that schools bring two types of speakers—warnings and examples. I have the privilege of being both. I’ve lived many of the challenges students are navigating today—growing up in a home impacted by addiction and depression, experiencing bullying, and being exposed to drugs at an early age. For years, I coped in ways that pulled me further away from who I wanted to become. At the same time, I was achieving at a high level—attending college at UC Davis, serving as Associated Students President, and graduating from UCLA School of Law. But success on paper didn’t mean I had things figured out. I eventually hit a personal breaking point and realized something critical: |
My life wasn’t going to change until my choices did.
That shift—from blame to ownership—changed everything. I got sober, rebuilt my life, and aligned my habits, decisions, and identity with the future I actually wanted.
Alongside that personal journey, I’ve experienced the academic path from every angle. I’ve been a student, worked in admissions at UCLA Law, and served as a career counselor at the University of San Diego School of Law. I’ve seen what helps students succeed—and where they get stuck. That combination is what makes this message land.
Students don’t just hear what can go wrong—they see what’s possible when they take ownership of their choices and follow through consistently. I help them understand that success isn’t about talent or circumstances—it’s built through habits, standards, and the decisions they make every day.

My goal is simple: to give students the clarity, ownership, and practical framework they need to build a life they’re proud of—starting now.
