I was the student who struggled—the one dealing with challenges at home, navigating mental health, and making decisions that pulled me off track. I didn’t always ask for help, and at times, the signs were easy to miss.

I was also the student who found a way forward. I attended UC Davis, served as Student Body President, graduated from UCLA School of Law, and built a successful career. That journey didn’t happen by accident—it came from learning how to take ownership, rebuild my habits, and make better decisions over time.

Along the way, I’ve seen the education system from every angle—first as a student, then working in admissions at UCLA, and later as a career counselor at University of San Diego School of Law. I understand both the challenges students face and what it actually takes to succeed.

Today, I bring those perspectives together to help students make better choices—and help educators recognize the moments where they can make the biggest difference.

What I Teach

​My work focuses on one core idea: the choices we make—especially in difficult moments—shape the direction of our lives. I help students and educators understand how those choices are formed, how to take ownership of them, and how to change them when needed.
